Criminal law Professor at PUCRS – currently on leave. Was coordinating professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law and of the Graduate Studies Course in Corporate Criminal Law at PUCRS (2008-2016).
Federal OAB board member (2016-2019). OAB/RS board member (2001-2012). Was the general director of Escola Superior de Advocacia (2008-2012), Chairman of the Internship and Bar Exam Committee (2004-2005) and Coordinator of the human rights committee of OAB/RS (2001-2003).

Was a member of the Committee for Examination of the Reform of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the OAB (2010, appointed by President Dr. Cezar Britto).
Member of the Editorial Boards of the journals Revista Brasileira de Ciências Criminais (IBCCRIM) and Revista de Estudos Criminais (PUCRS and ITEC/RS), and former president of ITEC (Transdisciplinary Institute of Criminal Studies).
Author, organizer and collaborator of various scientific papers in the field of criminal sciences.
